The automobile and aviation industries in particular reap the benefits of our "Made in Germany" quality claim. Our offer of gantry milling machines for 5-axis machining is especially broadly based; our new 2- and 3-axis milling heads are absolutely innovative.

With the newly founded company Gimbal GmbH, F. Zimmermann GmbH underscores its commitment to the development and manufacture of multi-axis milling heads. Milling head technology is at the heart of every portal milling machine – and thus makes a vital contribution to Zimmermann's success. For many years we have been developing and building milling heads to the highest standards. From now on this activity will be carried out under the name Gimbal – naturally still with our experienced personnel and in our well known production facilities in Denkendorf.

We learned our trade from scratch, in particular with our modelmaking machines.
This oldest branch of Zimmermann's business unites decades of experience with bold new developments. Thousands of machines in use worldwide offer impressive robustness and absolute precision. The machines are not only used in the classic foundry and car body making business.
Zimmermann's conventional machines are applied in other sectors as well, such as the design, furniture and wood industries, prototype building or in the metalworking industry.

The Zimmermann-Bokö BK bedtype milling machine range is a proven vertical milling machine concept with 3 to 6 CNC axes. It is based on a single column bedtype design with an optional rotary table. This design permits efficient machining of highly complex components in a single setup.
