Drives

What drives the A- and C-axis of a milling head determines the quality of the machining. Whether torque motors, worm or gear drives – all existing types of drive have their strengths and weaknesses. We aim to find the right drive which is most suitable for the specific operation.

 

Spindle designs

Zimmermann offers different spindle designs for individual applications. But whatever milling spindle is chosen: it is carefully selected to suit the particular application and the machine and milling head used. A monitoring system ensures the long life and exact function of the spindle.
