Für die Bearbeitung vieler Werkstückformen und Materialien ist die FZU22 in Monoblock-Struktur bestens geeignet. Aluminium, Kunststoffe und Holz sind ihr Metier, ebenso die Nachbearbeitung von CFK-Teilen (Kohlefaser und Verbundstoffe). Durch das oben fahrende Portal wird auch bei der Herstellung von Modellen und Formteilen hohe Präzision erzielt. Zur Standardausführung gehören der Werkzeugwechsler für 12 Werkzeuge und eine Steuerung der neuesten Generation (Siemens oder Heidenhain). Der speziell entwickelte 5-Achs-Fräskopf mit 15 kW-Spindel ist aufgrund seiner Geometrie auch für die Bearbeitung schwer zugänglicher Werkstückstellen geeignet.
